The 2013 Specialized Venge Expert is aerodynamic, stiff, and performance oriented.
Inspired by Specialized's own Tarmac and Shiv, the 2013 Venge is a pure race machine. Although, Specialized says themselves that the Tarmac is more bike than aero.
It's easy to see why someone would think using this bike would be against the rules, but it's UCI-legal in all aspects. Here are some of the things that make this bike great:
- FACT IS 11r Aero Race Design and a full monocoque carbon frame
- Oversized Bottom Bracket and chainstay
- Internal cable routing
- Tapered head tube
- Bladed carbon seat post
- 3:1 airfoil shaping and a straight profile
On top of all that, Specialized uses Shimano Ultegra for the entire drivetrain; including both derailleurs and the brakes. The brakes and shifters are combined on the handlebars using the Shimano Total Integration System.
As depicted in the diagram, your hands don't have to move to a different location on the handlebars to ease the transition between shifting and braking during those times when it is all-important. The 10 speed Shimano 105 cassette provides a great range of gears for a variety of terrain.
Novices and experts will absolutely love this bike. In order to truly see its capabilities, you need to test ride it.
We'd love to be the shop you choose to show you this great bike. We are The Spoke Shop and we are located at 1910 Broadwater Ave. in Billings, Montana.
We know that your schedule is busy, but we promise if you take the time to visit us that it will be worth it.
