The 2013 Specialized RockHopper Is Guaranteed To Amaze!

2013 Specialized Rockhopper 29er Will Have No Trouble Taking The Trail. Perfect for Beginners and Enthusiasts alike!

This incredible looking mountain bike comes with amazing features everyone has come to expect from Specialized.

The geometry is comfortable yet sturdy even when riding aggressively. Of course, the 29" wheels play a role in this, as they help the rider get over bumps and ruts in the road, and yes, even rocks!

Bikeradar.com says "The Rockhopper (comp) has a long, low ride posture that offers a calm, smooth and incredibly confident ride on all but the roughest terrain."

From the Specialized website: The Rockhopper is a time tested XC hard tail built for true trail singletrack. Equipped with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes and a RockShox XC28 suspension fork with lockout, the Rockhopper comp combines performance with value in a package every rider will appreciate.

- Fully butted A1 Premium Aluminum frame with ORE down tube for a lighter, more compliant and durable bike.

- RockShox XC28 fork features TurnKey hydraulic damping, lock-out, alloy steerer tube and externally adjustable rebound for plush and lightweight trail performance.

- Suntour crankset with forged alloy arma and Octalink-splined BB interface means greater durability and better shifting performance; sealed cartridge bearing Bb is reliable and easy to service.

- Tektro Draco hydraulic disc brakes/levers with Light Wave rotors create increased control and superior stopping power for more confident riding.

The top tube has a looong reach of 24.5 inches. This makes for very efficient climbing.

Shimano Alivio 9-speed rear dérailleur and Acera Rapidfire shifters are super reliable, easy to use, and provide high-end performance. These tires do just about everything well while managing to roll efficiently.

The cockpit parts have been fashioned well and lend to the bike's comfort and even it's functionality. the specced the bike with a 700mm wide bar with a 10 degree bend. The saddle is a Specialized Body Geometry RockHopper. It is not sold as an aftermarket part. It is a mid-width saddle with enough padding to offer some comfort shut not so much that it doesn't support your sit bones. It's comfortable for a budget saddle and practical for real off road riding.

29eronline.com had this to say in the conclusion of their review:

"The Rockhopper has excellent agility. It is the bike that most fun hopping logs and finding jumps to play on. It's ability to carve single track makes it really fun to ride. If your emphasis is on speed and efficiency, other bikes are probably better suited. However, the RockHopper can be built light enough to race.(...)  As a first mountain bike, you really can't do better. It's confident and forgiving, but never sluggish. It's easy to maneuver, and is equally easy to handle at slow speed and high speed. This is an excellent all arounder."
